Relational and Sex Therapy for
Individuals and Couples
I’m a sex therapist for people who have a hard time talking about sex. I see clients who have a complicated relationship with their body, who have trouble sharing with partners and who have blocks around sex. I work with couples who have different desire levels. I help people work through various distressing experiences that limit their access to their own pleasure. I am interested in the ways sex and intimacy are impacted by one’s relationship with their body, particularly as a result of illness or surgery. I am trained in EMDR and practice through a trauma informed relational framework.
Not all clients come to me looking for sex therapy. I also work with folx looking for support through life transitions, including issues that arise during early adulthood, pregnancy, postpartum and parenting, career changes, relationship transitions, and health concerns.
I never take my position as a therapist for granted and I recognize how challenging it can be to “do the work.” I believe that each person has a life filled with rich experiences, beyond the presenting concern. You are the expert in your life, and my role is to support you, with curiosity and compassion for your experiences, in learning more about the ways you show up.
I am a good fit if you are looking to work on:
Sex and Intimacy, including desire differences in couples
Identity formation (i.e. settling into a new role including: spouse, parent, empty nester, etc.)
Perimenopause and menopause
Parenting and co-parenting
Setting boundaries
Work related stress, including switching careers
Preparing to grow a family
Body image and body grief
Opening relationships
Divorce
New health diagnosis
Chronic illness
